March Meeting - March 27, 2010

Our educational session this month will be on Roofing products, Flashing and Ventilation, presented by John Bauman of JB Roofing in Mount Vernon and Derek Jones of ABC Supply in Cedar Rapids.

John Bauman owns and operates JB Roofing in Mount Vernon, a roofing company whose services include sales and service of new roofing products, roofing repairs, gutters, soffit & fascia coverings, siding and window sales/installation. Derek Jones is with ABC Supply of Cedar Rapids. ABC Supply is the largest wholesale distribution company in the United States. They started operation in 1982 and now have over 350 locations in 45 states.

John will be showing a power point presentation with photos and slides of roofing issues that he has come across in the field. He and Derek will discuss roof covering deficiencies (both product and installation issues) in regards to shingles, ventilation and flashing. They will also bring information on new products on the market such as shingles, underlayment, etc., and share common tips and ideas for inspecting roofs. Bring your questions … they will be happy to answer any and all.
